It's another good dose of Childhood Radio. A time when you heard music you could groove to. Since this is a Freestyle site, what a better way to do Childhood Radio but to have some Freestyle. What better Freestyle to have: Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam.

They was part of a group of Freestyle Pioneers in the mid 80's. They was the brainchild of R&B power group: FULL FORCE.They also, helped to bring Freestyle to the mainstream. Now Lisa Lisa is involved in many acting projects from a brief time on Nickeloden's short lived Tiana and a small part on Law and Order(i forget which L&O. LOL).

But Lisa Lisa put out great Freestyle and Pop classics. Here are my 5 Lisa Lisa tracks.

they was good songs. But her first two albums really define Lisa Lisa and help to define Freestyle.
 
You know I just heard "Let The Beat Hit Em" over the weekend in one of the holiday mixes. Came outta nowhere & reminded me how much I luv that song!

I still accept her regardless of what type of music she puts out. She needs to resurface with something for the club heads, though. Put R&B on hold for a minute. Give us something to dance to. :mdance
