Nice pixs and video Mr. Skater. Safire must have been awesome, I wish she would have preformed in LQ last week. Nyasia must have been off the hook along with Coro.

Great night and thanks!
Hey all. Just got back to NYC from Chicago and wanted to tell you all about what a great night it was.
I was with Will To Power and we weren't picked up until after Fascination and Noel performed but I caught everyone else. First off, I was lucky enough to meet all of the artists and hang with them in vans, waiting areas, and our hotel. I've seen most of them perform before and met them all many many years ago but this time I really got a chance to speak to them all in depth behind-the-scenes. All I can say, it this was one set of true, veteren professionals! Each and every one of them stopped to talk to fans, sign autographs, take pictures, chit chat...no matter how tired or busy they were.
Nyasia, I'm glad we got the chance to meet and hang out...you're a doll! And yes, I caught the Stevie Nicks spin!
I was lucky enough to have been at soundcheck for Safire...we also spoke at the show and was extremely lucky enough to have had breakfast with her at the hotel this morning. What a great great performer and an amazing woman with an amazing spirit. She oozes professionalism...I"m sure you all knew that already but I was really taken by her. I think I convinced her to work on a project with me so cross your fingers and some of you may get to see her perform again later this year!
Noel, Coro, Seduction were all so great to speak to. I hung out with Fascination at the hotel this morning and she was a complete doll. Incidently, for some reason, each and every artist looked better than they had when I saw them 10 and 15 years ago!!!
Now onto Will To Power....yes I was with them and of course, that may cause me to be a little biased but they were OFF THE FRIGGIN' HOOK! Our lead singer Siddy can throw down while singing, dancing, and sexing up everyone out there! When she came down to the lobby of the hotel, there wasn't one eyeball that wasn't trained on her. A gay friend of mine even said "HOLY S*IT! For the first time in my life I was straight for like 15 whole minutes!!!" :drool The dancers kicked booty out there. Backstage, someone from Chicago challenged one of our dancers, Ozone, to compete out on the dancefloor....let's just say you know who mopped the floor with whom...Ozone defies gravity. Bob Rosenberg is the strong but silent type..doesn't say much due to his inner spirituality but the guy lives for the music and serving it up to the fans...they really put on a great show and a full set of 7 songs!
So it was a great show...thanks to everyone who came out and for the love you gave us. Thanks to the artists who made the night as special as possible for me and from what it seems, I think some new friendships were made...thank you thank you thank you!
I have tons of video footage I'm working on for a DVD which I'll tell you all about when it's done in a few weeks. For now, I'll be posting my pics from on stage, behind the scenes, and in their faces a little later so look out for them.

Hey all. As promised, here are some pictures that I took on stage, off stage, backstage and at the hotel. These pics are a Clubfreestyle.com exclusive. I have about 2 hours of video footage which I hope to edit and post clips for you soon.
My only regrets are:
1. I ran into Noel at check-in a the hotel...in the lobby...rode in a van with him...saw him at the backstage exit right after his set and in all those time, I didn't get 1 picture of him and missed his performance!
2. The promoters got us to the venue while Nyasia had hit the stage so I rushed in but unfortunately don't have many pics of her (but I do have video)...sorry CFDiva!

Hmmmm....
The Aragon Ballroom was actually a lot bigger than I had anticipated...it was pretty huge. Even at half capacity, I'm sure the crowd would be huge. It wasn't full but there was definately a few hundred people there.
As for Safire...we actually spoke quite a bit about the Freestyle market...music business in general...her career. Unfortunately, she does consider herself to be retired from freestyle but in her words "I try to retire and they keep bringing me back! LOL!". Anyhoo...she said she's been listening to a lot of different types of music and opening up to some types of music that she wasn't exposed to before. She also said she's really enjoying work in other areas of the music business and is excited to be working on other projects within the music business. She said she will always always always support Freestyle as that is where her heart is and her history but right now she's happy exploring other avenues. On a sidebar, she wrote a song for Nyasia so I believe you can all look forward to that someday soon.

Like Webwizard said, I drove up from Iowa to attend the Freestyle Flashback event at the Aragon. There were several disappointments that evening. Two being...missing the performances of Fascination and Noel. They both look so amazing. I was fortunate enough to see them several times at the hotel. I ran into Fascination in the hallway at one point. I had not seen Noel in years and must say he looked really good.
I was not lucky enough to get pics or autographs from either of these two talented artists. I was disappointed with the turnout. It was only 1/3 of what was there last October for the Freestyle show.
Anyway, eventually I was lucky enough to meet everyone in Will to Power. I have always been a big fan of them and to finally meet them 17 years after they came out was exciting. Eventually, I went to the soundcheck with Webwizard and Will to Power and was fortunate enough to meet Safire! Will to Power looked and sounded great up there on stage. Siddy looked amazingly hot. Their dancers could move and looked hot as well. It was great seeing Bob get out there on the middle of the stage and perform the new single "Spirit in the bottle". Although not Freestyle, it definitely had a trance vibe to it and made you just want to shake your azz. A great song to say the least. Safire did her soundcheck right after Will to Power's so right before she started I went back up on stage with Randy and approached her and told her (in front of her backup dancers) that we were her new ones for the evening. She smiled and laughed and said ok. She looked amazing! She was so nice. I was very nervous in meeting her but once you start talking to her you become relaxed. Her dancers were great also and we were very friendly.
Before going to the show, we hung out with Will to Power and got some awesome pictures taken with them. They are such friendly and down to earth people. I loved their dress attire for that evening. Bob, when are you going to let me borrow those awesome boots for IML??
During the show, I met Coro while he was signing autographs. I got a pic taken with him also. I also got to hang out with Siddy (Will to Power) out in the crowd. All I can say is that all the artists put on a great show. They all definitely gave it their 100% even though the crowd was smaller than expected.
After the show I was lucky enough to get to go backstage and meet the NYASIA! She also is beautiful and such a great person to talk to. Like Fascination, we recognized her right away when she checked in at the hotel. She was incognito...lol. Thanks NYASIA for the pics and the beautiful signed picture you gave me. It is in my DJ room as I type. lol. I was also lucky to meet Seduction and get a picture of the lovely ladies in one of the rooms. I wished that I had had more time to spend with them. I bumped into Coro in the hallway and started chatting with him. Very friendly guy. We talked about the new greatest hits CD and he mentioned that they are still making some changes with it. We talked about other things and then someone grabbed him to go. Finally, I got to meet Safire once again, get a signed picture from her and get some awesome pics with her. Once I get them I will post them. Her outfit was awesome. We talked with her some more and then I talked with Nyasia some more and back to Safire..lol. What I didn't get was a pic with NYA and Safire. What was I thinking! I forgot to mention that Nyasia sang her new song with Safire on backup vocals. All I can say, what an excellent song. I can't wait for it to be released. I hope everyone will support it and go out and buy it and request it.
