I baught Charmed season 1 on dvd.How it brings such great memories with Pru(Shannen Doherty), who was very good on the show.All three had such great chemistry.I watched this show, since the first episode because of my girl Alyssa Milano.I hope they bring Shannen Doherty back one day, maybe as a white lighter or spirit of some kind?It's very easy to bring her back, even if it's only for a few special episodes.Maybe on the last episodes?Shannen sure is missed on the show.I do like Rose McGowen, but it still will never be the same.I'm on my 4th disc on the season 1 collection and still every episode is fun to watch.
 
My brother watches the reruns/new episodes religiously. I looked for the dvd for season one during Christmas, but it wasn't out yet because I knew he would have loved that.

He also thinks the three originals were the best (although he did say someone else went out for the part of .... the "Combs" girl (not sure of her name)).... is that on the DVD as an extra?

I beat you to it Chuck?, now that's a 1st! I went on opening day and baught it a tower, loving all the episodes.I baught "Charmed" and "Shall We Dance" with my girl Jennifer Lopez, and definitly playing alot of those dvd's.
Chuck, would it be cool to have Shannen Doherty back, or at least for the last episodes?I really like my ideas on my first post, it's so easy to bring her back.

I agree Rose does a very good job.But I I feel Shannen deserves a special episode or come back on the last episode as a white lighter or a spirit from the past or something, I do miss her.When you watch the first season dvd, you will understand.Shannen did a great job on the show.

Here is some information I found on a "Charmed" website - it was not Combs' character that was replaced, it was actually Alyssa Milano who was the replacement:

The original pilot, which never aired, featured Lori Rom as the youngest sister, Phoebe. She was then suddenly replaced by Alyssa Milano. " She was the right combination," says Combs. " We had a break between doing the pilot and starting the series. It was a little weird at first. We were like, 'What?' It was totally unexpected, and we were caught a little bit off-guard.

So, somewhere there exists an unaired Pilot with Lori Rom playing Phoebe...I am sure it must be available on some tv trader site - that is how I got hold of the unaired "Desperate Housewives" pilot, which is shot-for-shot exactly like the one that was aired, except for Sheryl Lee of "Twin Peaks" playing the dead narrator and a different guy playing the gardener who has an affair with Eva Longoria. It would be interesting to see!

CHARMED is an awesome show! A bunch of other great classics is coming to dvd now - I just got "I LOVE LUCY" Season 3 (have one & 2 of course!) and the Golden Girls Season One...the Brady Bunch Season One is coming out on dvd too - and in the spring - DYNASTY SEASON ONE - hilarious!!!
