OK guys, I was an ORIGINAL member of this board years ago, and I always said that someday you would all be hearing me on the radio...well as of last Sunday night now you do, along with 2 million other listeners, and I want to make sure FIRST AND FOREMOST that my CF friends are satisfied. I'm sorry right now I can't do new school, but I'll work on that in the months to come...BUT AS OF, I want everyone reading this who listens to KTU on sunday nights to EMAIL me at JAMESANTHONYKTU@AOL.COM and TELL ME what old school songs YOU want to hear in the mix. NO SONG IS TOO OBSCURE!!! I mix up the well-known classics with the more hardcore, lesser known tracks. I want to keep everyone happy and make these mixes for YOU guys, so send me an email with some requests, and as long as I have them (chances are I do), I will do my very best to get them on in the upcoming weeks. Any other questions or comments certainly welcome! THANKS GUYS!! It's you guys that keep me wanting to do what I do.

Thanks for your input so far guys, however please don't email me with new school requests, as I can't do anything about playing new school, only the classics! sorry to rain on anyones parade, I love new school, its just not in my range of things I can do now. KEEP EM COMING!! Once again, I sincerely appriciate everyone's input, as I am trying my damn hardest to make this a permanent weekly thing as well as showing the big guys in the KTU programming department that I can do this just as well as their big name "mixmasters"!! I know you guys got my back, and its a great place to start!!
 
I know things are bad as far as getting new music played on that station ... not sure why its so taboo but Let move on.

Just wondering...how much freedom do you get as far as choosing songs for your mix? Do you have to run your mix by your PD, MD or Mix Show Coordinator? If you are mixxing "the well-known classics with the more hardcore, lesser known tracks" how will they know its new school or old school if they are not that known? Do you have to show proof that they are from a certain era? I'm just curious how your station operates the freestyle show.

I ve got too give you mad props for spinning Thge new school as well as the Classics.

So My question to KTU and the other stations How come you guys dont follow the lead.?
