CD 101.9 New York Chill

:georgelam looks like Emmis is going to give Smooth Jazz WQCD the Ambient/Electronica treatment this coming Monday(November 22nd) when CD101.9 becomes the newly modified "CD101.9 New York Chill." Most of the the station's core Smooth Jazz artists such as Sade and George Benson will still be played but will be joined by the likes of Praful and Chris Botti, who by the way are already getting airplay.

This will be interesting to see in the Big Apple: A Dance Top40(WKTU), a Rhythmic/Dance AC hybrid(WNEW) and now a Electronica/Jazz hybrid(WQCD). It looks like New York City has indeed become a Dance-friendly town.
