I know I started a thread before describing why Freestyle music has fell so far. In no way was that an attack on K7. It was just constructive criticism. Madonna has a saying that if there were 100 people in a room and 99 of them liked her song, she'd rather talk to the 1 person who didn't. If I wasn't a true fan, I wouldn't care to criticize. I have thought of a way that TKG could do an album that doesn't have to be all freestyle and at the same time does not have to sound pop either. They could do 5 hardcore freestyle songs, 3 songs like on the K7 solo album (like "move it like this"), 2 rap songs where TKG sings the hook, and maybe an uptempo b-boy track. Also could do some stuff similar to that video where K7 was singing over Noreaga's "I'm Leaving" beat. This way the whole album would still have a street sound. This is an idea that could certainly sell records as the non-freestyle tracks could have much appeal to the urban market. The 5 hardcore freestyle songs (new songs with the old skool style) would more than satisfy the core freestyle audience. What do ya think?
