Forgive my naivete here, but who exactly are some of the Canadian artists that have crossed over to recognition abroad and in the states??

In your opinion, do you feel that there is a different feel to Canadian and even European (as I am from Italy and hear it)Freestyle??

Which do you prefer??

Just curious - Leave it to me get inspired during a workday..

This is also day 2 for me being smoke free, so the cobwebs are working their way out hehehee 😛

Hm, well we've got quite a few artists that made it big not only in Canada but in USA and/maybe Europe.

For once our own Elissa, a talented person whose dedication to freestyle powers up all the new artist in the industry.
We've got Joee, my seksay baby... he's simply nique in his voice and his style.. He's the best. he also sings EURO.
We've got own very own Freda. I can't say she was in freestyle for a long tim,e but sh'es indeed very popular right now and is very talented.
Phillips family..... (tell am I wrong to think they're canadian?)
And I think (not sure) VLA is too.

And where is Ceres from?????

Correct me if I'm wrong guys...

As to your question.. I believe that canadian freestyle got more beats to it.. brings in a little flavour of euro. That's just my opinion. 🙂

Sorry I'm not that familiar with European freestyle...

Nope - Mikey I was born in good old Palermo, Sicilia and came to the U.S. officially in 1979..

I lived in NY prior to moving to NJ last year..

1sxy - I never knew of any of those artists (that I recall), maybe I do but don't realize.. When I go back to visit my nonna, I will check out the "abroad releases" as they are called after a butchered translation hehhee...

I think I may have seen a post back in the day on here regarding Elissa, but - I have to check it out.. Are they on audiogalaxy??

From what i know Irene doesn't have a website but she is doing work on some new stuff (or so i heard) but thats just a rumor thats going around.

as for the otehr canadian content:
The Phillips family is amazing and they are great people too, if you ever get a chance to meet chris, kathy or alexia (who no longer sings) they are truley great people.

As is Maurizio, Freda, VLA some other canadians

More Canadians: Dimi, Elissa, 2AM, Emanuel, Joelle, Kosta Dee, Louiza (i think) And some more people that have been on Odeon Records (owned by Phillips family)
