I HEARD THROUGH THE GRAPE VINE, THAT BLINK WAS GONNA BRING BACK AN ELEMENT THAT NEW YORK HAS BEEN MISSING, COULD IT BE FREESTYLE...I WILL BELIEVE IT WHEN I HEAR NEW MATERIAL..
 
i had forgotten that i put blink 102.7 on at work - and when i heard show me playing i had to check what station i had on - i was pleasently surprise -

they may not break any new freestyle, but it's good to know they are gonna continued the tradition.
 
Please Post the tel #. we should call to let them know that its GOOD to play freestyle. If we don't they have no idea that its what the people want.

kenny there are so many good songs that come out, not only freestyle but dance vocal, new york needs that kick, like the old days of hot 103 & 97, even till this day hot 97 didn't change how they program music, they add new songs every week, just as if it was 86 or 87, this is why they are number one in the ratings, if a dance station kept it fresh, all the time, we could have a winner, but time will tell, i am still waiting..

Blink is not a dance station and they will never be. Keep alook out for another station that might turn to all dance (hint hint 101.9 FM or 92.7 FM).

I wouldnt count on this station to turn into our type of "dance". They have always kept a steady tradition when it came to their style of music. when they have the call letters WLIR, they play MODERN ROCK (DEPECHE MODE, B-52'S, MIDNIGHT OIL). Then when they change to WDRE, they play alot of TRANCE (a decade earlier....they played tons of TECHNO under this name)
 
No pop, freestyle, or reggae in Az! No top 40 station! Every other normal state has a top 40 station. Energy 92.7 has a lot of freestyle - I know because dj shy moved there from power 92.3 #1 for hip hop & r&b when they cut out 98% of their dance/freestyle music during the power workout at noon. He's always had freestyle ever since when he was back at 103.9 but he's just not allowed to play it on energy. He gets away with Sharyn Maceren - that's it. Everything else is from angelina - 1995, planet soul - 1995, Jocelyn - 1997 or before, Jossette twice so far, but none of my other requests have been played. Adriana once, but no Natalise, Li'l Suzy, Malyssa,...etc. However they do play sx4! -which no one else has yet.
