Well I've posted up some weird American laws in the "Everything Forum"...here are some Canadian ones...so how many times have you broken the law

1-It is illegal for non-dark sodas to contain caffeine.
(and the point of this is???)

2-In Alberta, wooden logs must not be painted.
(not even with that yellow reflective paint so you don't smack into it???)

3-In British Colombia, its illegal to kill a sasquatch.
(interesting but is there such a thing???)

4-In Nova Scotia, its illeagl to water ones lawn while its raining.
(This should be a law in Ontario cuz I've seen enough people doing this)

5-In Ottawa, its illegal to eat icecream on Bank St. on a Sunday.
(Ok good to know if I ever decide to go Ottawa)

6-In Toronto, you can't drag a dead horse down Yonge on a Sunday.
(Hmmmmmm so can you drag one up Yonge St on a Sunday???)

7-In Quebec, Margarine producers can't make their margarine yellow.
(Ok so wtf makes in yellow then everywhere else???)

8-Comic books which depict any illegal acts are banned.
(But it's ok to hear rappers rap about it on the radio)

9-35% of a radio stations content must be "Canadian Content".
(Which is fine by me cuz most Euro and Freestyle is Canadian)

10-You may not pay for a fifty-cent item with only pennies.
(OMG so next time the old Nona comes to work an wants to pay with her 2340987239847 pennies I'm calling the cops)

11-Citizens may not publicly remove bandages.
(Ok another one that's good to know)

12-No one in Canada may watch or listen to an encrypted broadcast which is not licensed by the Canadian government. This means using US satellite systems such as "DirecTV" is illegal.
(Ha no one follows this one)

13-It is illegal to kill a sick person by frightening them.
(So is it legal to kill them in any other way???)

14-It is illegal to pretend to practice witchcraft.
(Dammit so much for that idea)

In Alberta

1-Businesses must provide rails for tying up horses.
(Now if only they could promise the same for cars)

2-If you are released from prison, it is required that you are given a handgun with bullets and a horse, so you can ride out of town.
(This is something you would expect to hear in Texas)

In Ontario

Cobourg

If you have a water trough in your front yard it must be filled by 5:00 a.m.
Etobicoke

Bylaw states that no more than 3.5 inches of water is allowed in a bathtub.

Guelph

The city is classified as a no-pee zone

Kanata

The color of house and garage doors is regulated by city bylaws (a purple door get you a fine).
(Yes they should implement this in some Toronto neighbourhoods especially those downtown.)
It is also illegal to have a clothes line in your backyard.
You can't work on your car in the street.
Oshawa

It's illegal to climb trees.

Uxbridge

Residents are not allowed to have an Internet connection faster than 56k.
(and all this time people are saying its CFs fault for the slow connection)
Wawa

You may not paint a ladder as it will be slippery when wet.
It is illegal to show public affection on Sunday.

In Quebec...
1-It is illegal to turn right on a red light at any time. (Repealed 2003 - However, the law remains in effect in the city of Montreal)
(they have this same law in NYC and I wasn't aware of it...thankfully Nessa told me lol)

2-All business signs in the province of Quebec must be in French. If the business operator wishes to have other languages on the sign, the French must be larger than the other languages is. (Bill 86)

3-You may not own a log cabin.
(even if the logs aren't painted??? oh yeah that's in Alberta)

4-The Queen Elizabeth Hotel must feed your horse freely when you rent a room.
(What's with all the horse talk???)

5-One's rear license plate may not be protected by glass or plastic.
(awww not even the pretty baby blue ones)

Yeah cuz I was turning on reds and when I was told I thought it was a joke lol...our laws don't seem to be as severe as the American ones though lol

Rumour has it that Scarborough is gonna pass some crazy bylaw banning 20yr females who drive crxs but like domestic cars from helping 😛

lmfao... you shouldn't believe rumours 😉 they're never true

How odd that when the rumour has to do with you...it's never true 😛

lol well of course... i don't live my life in public so no one knows anything about me.. therefore what people say is not true

Oh ok then...so we are back to the public vs private debate lol
