Well, guess what guys? There IS going to be a Beatstock this year!!! KTU is already giving away tickets and they go on sale Friday morning. It will be August 18th at Jones Beach. So far some of the artists performing will be Tamia, Dynamix, Da Buzz, Barry Harris with Pepper Mashay, Rich Luzzi. Im sure they will announce some freestyle artists soon!

Hey. if there is any freestyle artisits..Then im there! Especially if TKA is there. I dont care if there are other artists that I dont like at all. But is should be pretty good anyhows. I like dance music, I know all those songs and artists, but if there isnt any freestlyle....Then forget a bout it!....lol
 
I just checked KTU's web site..they have more artists listed. So far the only freestyle artist is Coro but Im sure they will add more. I saw Coro at the very first beatstock and he was great!
 
They'll be plenty of freestyle artists..nothing that Victor will like though..lol
 
Well...

I guess I am stuck in the 80's, cuz I want old school artists to perform. I'd much rather see them than the new artists. But that's just me... 🙂
 
Does anyone know ehen KTU is gonna update their website? they used to have tons of pictures from the last beatstock and party gras and all that, including a lot of freestyle artists.
 
im not familiar with any of the artist mentioned. but if there will be some freestyle peeps there. i would luv to go! i've never been to a freestyle event before and would luv to see some performances! i also wanna meet some of you CF peeps!😀

Just so you know, last year Rockell was there, and Judy Torres, so they will most likely be there again. And I will DEFINITELY be there, hopefully backstage (with my connections wink,wink)(I am a singer myself and the producer i'm working with right now was the DJ inbetween performances at last year's concert). Anyhow, hope i see ya there!
 
yo markluzcyinthia you will love it i went last year it is off the fudging hook.😀 I even saw your dreamgirl Cynthia. if she is performing you better go mark, you better not let cynthia down. Believe me you wont be dissapointed in her performance. So come. Im going hope to see you there.

Mayn its too bad about the old artists/new artists thing.Its kinda funny in a way.Its like making sure freestyle is "played out" by only playing old school(in some cases)and also inviting dated artists to perform in their shows.Younger audience is made to think its played out because they see old(anyone over 30 lol) people performing the same OLD jamz.Kinda makes it difficult to be excited.I wish I was there performing....but then again Y`all dont REALLY wanna party....do ya?

As for Samantha, I dont even have a CD from this artist. If you are complaining about us not playing it or not getting back to you, I think there is this thing called the mail. Send it to me, I have heard it on John Budz's mixes, but never got a copy of the single across my desk.
And it seems to me that people want to see the freestyle acts that made the style of music so great. Judy, Coro, George, Cynthia, TKA, etc....LEGENDS OF FREESTYLE!!!


As for Beatstock....OF COURSE THERE WILL BE FREESTYLE ACTS!!!!
 
Adding in new school artists would be good too, though. It gives people a new flavor and shows how freestyle has evolved. What if people like it?? I say give them a chance! 🙂
 
I don't think Rockell will be performing at this Beatstock. She seemed pretty pissed at the last one after getting "the boot" after one song. But who knows......
