~*~Barnes N Noble vs The Library~*~

I hardly go to the library or bookstore but if needed, I prefer Barnes and Noble. I find it better than the library. But what kills me is that Barnes and Noble is a bookstore and it's so quiet like the library. I know people read there and all but it's not a library. :lol

Anyway, I will be taking my 6 yr old to Barnes and Noble to read books and buy books because he reads very well. His teacher said his reading is on 1st grade level and he will be placed in an accelerated 1st grade class. 🙂

So which do you prefer? Barnes and Noble or The library?

I love going to the Barnes and Noble, I get lost there. I cop a spot and read. It a something i do to unwind.

i love the library

no coffe machines. no kids running around. no cell phones. very disciplined place. i can read there for hours. barns is ok. but too chaty for my blood lol. hard to read?

Oh yes girl. And there's a Starbuck in most Barnes and Noble too. 😛

I prefer Barnes & Noble, i don't know i just feel you can find more research there. But that's just my opinion.

nothing beats the library

nobody is aloud to talk chat. use there cell phones. bother any employees for useless searches. and no coffe machine thats sounds like somebody blew a flat llloll.

no truely one of the last great quiet places left on earth i think lol. and its free. barns

aint lloll.

Well I have been to a few libraries these last few months and with all the kids there it's very noisy although they librarian try to keep it to a minuminum. I prefer Barnes and noble.

north bergen wny and union city library anyone its talking. chatting on cell phones or carrying on in public making little noises even coughing.

Oh, I'm cheap. It's the library for me. I used to volunteer in the library(both in school and my town one). My brother, niece and nephew were all librarians. Books that I buy are mostly through book clubs, and since there is no Barnes and Noble anywhere near me, I'll occassionally hit Borders. Otherwise I love the library. The one in my town even loans out dvds for free for 1 week. I'll also buy my fiction from thrift stores. I love any bookstore though!
