Hello all.
As some of you may know, my grandmother (mom's mom) has been living in an Alzhiemer's facility (Praxis) in Pa.
Last night I got home from work to find the house empty. Mom and Dad had received a call from Praxis that Gram was having a very difficult time breathing and was rushed to Easton Hospital.
Grampa was a heavy smoker, up until the day he died, and it turns out that Grandma (from all the second hand smoke) has developed a very severe case of Emphezema. Between this and the Alzheimers, the outlook is not good. She's under medication to keep her comfortable, doctors give Gram about 1 month.
The facility has given a room to my Mom so she can stay with her Mother until the unavoidable.
I know that you guys will keep Gram in your prayers, but I just wanted you to know thta I may not be on the boards as frequently as usual, as I will have to help Dad around the house until Mom comes back.
