Don't worry about that Kenny... theres mad people workin over time to circumvent those methods... trust me nothing digital will be forever kept safe... look at Microsoft... they are releasing a new version of Windows (Windows XP) that requires activation to be done on each computer... More than a month before the program is out, the version was leaked on the Internet and they already have a crack for the Activation...

All that means is that there will be a little pause in the CD burning... not a complete hault...

thats my 2 cents...

yes, but i recently bought a $400 philips cd burner for my home stereo system. there isnt a program for that. that pisses me off!! well, all the good stuff HAS been released allready, who cares what comes out in the future!! j/k!!

with this kinda of protection i couldnt make a digital copy but...i could easily make an analog copy....i would just plug my cd player to my mixer and record it on my phillips cd recorder.

Bah, no biggie, if it can be secured, it can be cracked. There's always a way around it. It may take a little time, but it will happen. As Latin said though, you could always make an analog copy of the CD, just play it in your fave CD player on the PC, and hit record in your fave wave recorder and poof. 😀

In reality...anything that outputs to speakers..can be copied.

When will they listen to me??

I say GIVE US MORE than the CD in the packaging. Then
people would want to actually own it.. PLUS it would cost
the bootleggers too much to re-print all the materials inside the package.

It's not rocket science!

ok..I am no expert. But as a consumer, I think this form of supply to creat demand wouldn't work. When people actually by CD's, it's for just that...the CD (music). I can't think of any other additional add on's that would make it more appealing to consumer's, that in turn would deterre replication.

I think its a good thing. we are suffering too much as labels..... Sorry if this pisses anyone off but its the truth.

NO NO NO...i must disagree!!!! if i could buy a george lamond cd and they give me a whole bunch of like naked pics in there...i would diffently buy the cd instead of the bootleg, ANYDAY!!!!!!

and willie for u it hurts cause if someone copies like 500 or ur cds its a big devastation, but for these big record companies that are crying like babies...it is not even a drop in the bucket.

i think if they are smaller record labels u should buy the cd instead of the bootleg (if u can find it)...but when it comes to mainstream crap i LIVE BY BOOTLEG!!!!!

Not to disrepect the artists, but i dont like it.I dont go off making copies and selling them, but i like to create and edit my own mixes for my own listening pleasure and w/o the ability to do so, life may suck big time and i may be forced to bring the entire cd collection into my car instead of making some copies and throwing them in my car.

toni,

Lmao..I am there with you on that one! But if naked pictures are added as perks, don't ya think the bootlegger's could easily copy the pic's as well.

So we are back to square one!
