I just listened to bbjoe4 and can't believe what its on the old school cd.Songs like walking on sunshine, white lines and set it off.Since when are these songs freestyle? They're not even close to being freestyle.I liked the other volumes but they dropped the ball with this one.

With all due respect, Neo, I don't think you wanna open up a can of worms. People are going to side with Freestyle, and there's going to be those that side with everything else.

I haven't heard the whole CD, just a sample of it, and it should've been called something other than Freestyle. But who am I to say?

Old school indeed. But Freestyle? White Lines? Set It Off? Of course they were playing these tracks all over NY clubs and house parties back in the day, but c'mon.........Freestyle?

True--- I Saw That Cd Yesterday Thinking It Was Freestyle--- And I Put It Down Right Away No Way I Would Buy It Its Not "freestyle"""

LMAO! well I for agree that I wouldn't consider it Freestyle ..lol at least not by the freestyle standards that we are used..lol

Those songs helped to pave the way for Freestyle music. Alot of artists sampled music from those songs because of the tempo and so on. Yeah, the title could be different, but I think he's keeping it true by showing us where it stemed from. That's my opinion! When I was growing up in the South Bronx, I remember that all this music was played together.

THEY WERE DEFINITELY ALL PLAYED IN ONE SESSION..IT'S A GREAT MIX..ONE OF MY FAVORITE CDS.. :band

ok you do have a point there, being that those samples have been and are still being used on freestyle tracks then and now.

Neostyle- Where did you get the impression that BBJ V. 4 was/is Freestyle?

If you look at the title of the album it's called "Club House", not Freestyle.

I can't believe no one picked up on that yet.

Prop's to BBJ for taking it back to the days of house parties, the Paradise Garage and the Devil's Nest.

you should have been on this one Ash. Hope your doing well.😉

Vol. 4 had a good tracklisting. The cd gives fans an idea where freestyle came from.

I just don't get why it's always the same songs. I think most of us understand that some of the "same songs" have to be added for sales purposes and commercial appeal. But Bad Boy Joe freestyle cd's will get bought by freestyle fans. So maybe some hard to find classics that aren't included on every freestyle compilation can make it to vol. 6 ("Love Desire" Chrissy I-eece, "Regrets Only" Tomax, etc.) along with the regulars.

But props for including the new school bonus cd's!
