Ashlee Simpson(Jessica's little sister) was in a little controversey. She was the music guest on SNL this Saturday. He voice track broke, there it was exposed. Ashlee was lip-syncing!!!! She says, her stomach was hurting, which was why her voice was bad and had to leave the stage.

Was this an accident, or is Ashlee in over her head?

She's a good girl. Looks like her father(Joe Simpson) was really working hard to differ her from Jessica. I think she is trying too hard though
 
She is only one of many artists these days who lip synch. However, I believe a SINGER should SING, regardless...or they shouldnt perform live. Why should anyone pay money to see these people in concert if they are gonna lip synch?? They get paid all that money to sing, and thats what they should do. I think this was extremely embarrassing for her and yes, they are trying to cover it up now.

A singer should sing hell yeah. but sometimes - especially on a major tv show like SNL. An artist will feel the need to lip-sync. This is to be sure to keep the song sounding Exactly the same as it would on their record. A lot of big time Taleneted artists do it. The ones
who make it bad are the untalented artists who really can't sing that do it.
 
Heck 95 percent of all freestyle and dance music artists lip syncs at there performances. This was my first dissappointment i ever experienced with freestyle back in 1991 when i saw my first concert.
 
I just dont think its right. I feel that if someone is truly talented they should be able to sing live in front of an audience. If not, then we could all just sit home and listen to their cds. If they need electronic help, then maybe they cant really sing after all.

Hey..Britney got trashed big time because all her concerts she LIP Syncs.. I mean.. its ok to lip sync if you are on show like SNL.. no biggie.. but to be LIVE at a concert and lip sync?? Can we say LOSER?!
 
Thats what Im saying...noone should lip synch PERIOD. If thats the case, then we can all go on stage, lip synch, and make millions of dollars!

yup i saw a clip of ashley's performance & that was a disgrace 4 sure

hey ashley simpson's not the only lip-syncher out there. its the easy way into the entertainment biz now.. sad idea i know and if u complain about ashley u gotta complain about everyone, including dance / freestyle artists as freestylepete says
 
Lip-Synch on TV shows, amybe. I know many Dance Artist Lip Sync. But at a real concert peeps are paying 25-60 dollars to see. No lip-syncing!!!

Back in the day people on Soul Train and American bandstand lip-sync!!
 
Yup everyone lip syncs....it's just so happened she got caught but how many times are you watching a live performance (wether on t.v. or at the event) and you're thinking "yo he/she is lip syncing"
 
It happens, and it happened more BACK IN THE DAY than it does now. Back in the day people believed everything they saw on TV. Don't think that Elvis and the Beatles were singing LIVE on Ed Sullivan 'cuz they WEREN'T.

I guess I'm jaded but it doesn't surprise me, and I don't think any more or any less of her.
