It come's in with the subject title "mailer daemon unkown". Meaning that you have sent an email but it was sent back to you as invalid and was never sent to it's destination. This is false notification. I was dumb enough to open one of these shits and didnt see the destination of where the email was being sent so I automatically knew that I could have been potentially infected and now I got a virus scan going on as we speak. This was before finding out about the virus of course. But luckily AOL members dont have to worry about it because AOL automatically scan s the email before sending it. The virus is called the MYDOOM Worm. If you have opened the email using AOL and all, eventhough I doubt you being infected.....I would recommend downloading anti-viral updates and then scanning your drive with Norton or McAfee to see if you were infected. "Just because you are getting these messages from a Mailer-Daemon doesn't necessarily mean you are infected. Update your anti-virus software and scan your computer for maximum security."

So basically any email that you see coming in to you with the subject title "mailer daemon unknown" should be deleted.

^^^^^^^

Correct. You'd have to dl the file attached and open it in order to "unleash" the virus. 🙂

If you use an email client ie: outlook etc. make sure you have the preview off, open/download attachments automaticlly off, and set it to text and not HTML. If you do that you should be alright.

I got 2 of those this mornin..... like I sent a message & it was undeliverable...... DELETE!!!!!!!!!!!! 🙂
