Oh god...I am so nervous to see the results show tonight!!! All 3 contestants were amazing last night..Clay, Ruben, and Kim!!! But to be honest with you, I dont base it on just one night's performance...I base it on all the performances they have given so far. Therefore, I am praying that Clay and Ruben are the finalists and will go head-to-head next week!!

I don't know, maybe it was just me, but I wasn't as into American Idol as I was last year. I think a lot of it had to do with the fact that it was during the summer last year. This year I really didn't watch it cause either too much homework, work or was watching something else. I'll probably watch the finals next week, but I really don't have a fave cause I haven't been paying too much attention to it.
 
Yes, Kimberly does have a beautiful voice and she did a great job on all 3 songs last might.

I love Ruben, but I am a huge fan of Clay's, as well. It's a tough call this season, because all 3 are so great!!! The reason Im rooting for Clay is because I think his voice is so pure and distinct...there arent too many voices out there like his nowadays!! But whoever wins, I will be happy for them!!!

Personally, I think clay has the best voice - Ruben is good but I really haven't heard him show any range (like hit a high note like kimberly or clay)

I think too much props has been given to ruben. When given a good song that is good for her voice, kimberly kicks ass!!

But my boy clay's voice is powerful!! though, i do agree that he does have a broadway voice -

I thought Rueben was really good, but you are right... he sings "his" type of songs...

Take for instance last night... Clay had to sing that first song which he admittedly said he did not like.. yet, he did a discent job with it (not his best performance in my opinion)... but Rueben picked someone he liked so he got lucky.

You know what I mean? In other words.. you are right SafireFan... the same type of songs (same range).

I thought Simon was right on the money though last night... he made a joke that all three should stay and they should vote off Ryan Seacrest (meaning... they should all win, nothing against Ryan, I think he's adorable).

Just my thoughts. lol
 
I swear, I had the same conversation with my mom last night. Ruben has a beautiful voice, yes, BUT he has had the luck of singing all the songs that fit his style and he has never hit a high note. On the other hand, Clay can really belt out a tune. And just like 4everfreestyle said, Clay wasnt happy about singing that first song last night, but he did the best that he could. Im not surprised he forgot some of the words, it has to be hard trying to memorize all these songs...esp the ones that they dont choose for themselves. But by no means did he do a bad job on that song. I just feel that CLlay has so much going for him..he has style, class, humility..and a gorgeous voice!! So while I like all 3, I would be thrilled to see Clay win!!! Im getting a nervous stomach about tonight loll

I PERSONALLY THINK CLAY WILL BE VOTED OFF TONIGHT...I WILL ADMIT THAT I LIKE ALL 3 OF THEM..THEY ARE ALL WINNERS BUT ONLY ONE SHALL REMAIN.
 
I really wanted Kimberley in the finals .. but she'll go on to bigger and better things after the show!!!

OMG... I thought Kimberly would be next to go, but I felt soooo bad. I cried... especially when I saw Ruben and Clay's faces. :sosad :cry

Even though I know there was someone waiting back stage last night to give whoever the person getting voted off a record deal or something I still felt so bad. :sosad

Oh.... and in my opinion... Tamara (whatever her name is) wasn't all that last night. Then again... I just thought that song was sooooo draggggged out... I was bored already.

Now Justin did a great job... I love that song and he pretty much kept it to it's original version... and what he did change was great.

Sorry guys, but Im really rooting for Clay!!! I just think he has such an incredible voice and he is so humble!!! And as much as I like Justin Guarini, I think Clay sang Unchained Melody sooo much better on Tuesday night!!! The bottom line is that whoever the runner-up is will go very far. But my gut is going with Clay!!! And it's sooo close between them right now!!! A 2% difference is votes is like nothing!!

All I gotta say is, I hope they don't try to pull that stupid shyt on Ruben again. I mean what was that? Just messed up. I think I missed some episodes though. Is he still in it?
 
Rueben should win and clay should get a career on Broadway with Frenchie!!! :lol i honestly cannot see clay performing a pop song and dancing...he can't. he doesn't have "the look" and he has to pronounce every word so perfectly. he's annoying but unfortunately alot of people like him and i think he's gonna win. HE SHOULDN'T, but he probably will.:sosad GO RUEBEN!! :yeey

Well, Simon said that he would gladly work on cds with BOTH Ruben and Clay! So whoever the runner-up is will go far. As for having the "look", I dont think either Clay or Ruben has the typical pop idol look, but that shouldnt matter. And thats one of the best things about the show. Also, I bought the Idol cd, and Clay did a beautiful rendition of "On the Wings of Love", so I could definitely see his cd selling millions of copies. Dont get me wrong, I love Ruben too and I would buy anything he does as well. Oh, and as for Clay on Broadway, that is not a bad thing at all. I have seen quite a few Braodway shows, and most of those actors could outsing today's so-called idols any day!!!

Michelle...dont cry over Ruben girl...I have a strong feeling he is gonna win! But Im still rooting for Clay 🙂
