snap!!! did anybody watch Idol tonight and see Ruben almost bite the dust? Host Ryan Seacrest had already called down Trenyce into the bottom 2; then he was down to Ruben and Josh; when he announced that Ruben was in the bottom 2, I thought the judges were going to stage a walkout! Even Ryan had a comment to make before the break, "Remember America, this is about people's careers, it's not just a tv show!"

Damn, I respect Josh the Marine, but those southern drawl tunes he sung SUCKED! How he received more votes than Ruben is WAY beyond me - and frightens me more into thinking that the fruitcake Keebler (Clay) may actually end up winning this thing!

i agree with that....everyone (including myself) is so sure Rueben is gonna win. but Trenyce did not deserve to go. Josh is terrible and he even knew that it should've been him. who cares if he's a Marine...that doesn't make him a singer. tonight's show really had me mad!!

yeah i agree... Josh is a sweety and a cutie.. but that's that! He's got a voice better than well many people who consider themselves singers.. but he's not good enough to stay! It should have been him and Trynece... not Ruben who along with Clay are the BEST performers there!

but u saw Josh, he was very emotional, because he knew Ruben shouldn't have been there...

I've been thinking Ruben and Clay in the end all along - but unless this was a marketing ploy, Ruben supposedly finished fourth out of fifth, right? Now I'm wondering what's going on and if America will vote for Ruben ... and I'm w/ Mike, if Ruben doesn't win I'm done w/ American Idol ...

I was mad too my heart went boooooooooooom when ruben was called to the bottom two I coulndt believ my ears.That josh has to go next time lol ruben has one of the best voices that as crazy
 
Ok people, picture this...

I work a second job so I don't get many nights with the boys (during the week, especially) so... it being nice out last night I decided to grab something to eat with them, then go to the park to play some wiffle ball...

I knew I'd be missing some AI, but hey... I got to do what a mom's got to do....

I figured I'd catch the last half hour of it at least, but instead, I caught the last 5 minutes of AI and WHAT DID I SEE????????

OMG, IT WAS RUEBEN IN THE BOTTOM TWO!!!!!!!

Never in my wildest dreams would I EVER think that Rueben would be in the bottom line up. Yeah, Trenyce could go... but I honestly thought it was going to be Josh. I think he's talented, but it was definitely out of him and Trenyce to go.

BUT NO WAY SHOULD RUBEN BE IN THE BOTTOM LINE UP.

I agree, I think it's going to be between Rueben and Clay.

Next week Josh will be voted off, then Kimberly, then Clay...

Ok, thanks for listening to my ramble. (but it was totally stressing to see Rueben's face standing there). It was the first thing that popped on my TV when I turned it on.

OMG I'm still stressing over it.
 
Clay is a tough he sings off the hook also!!! But I think they both will get record deals. Not for nothing but I think Kimberly is Bangin!!!
 
My feeling is that American Idol seriously needs to reconsider their voting process. First of all, some people may be confused as to who they should be calling for...their favorites or their least favorites. Secondly, you can call as many times as you want for a particular contestant which may not be the best idea because you never know if a contestant's friends are jamming the line with votes...for example, Josh could have every Marine calling in for him lol...and just a few extra votes can make or break it for them. I just found it so amazing that Ruben was in the bottom 2 last night....and consider this, AOL did a poll yesterday asking who was your fave idol....Ruben was the clear winner, and this was with over 100,000 people voting...the order was as follows...Ruben, Clay, Kimberly, Josh, Trenyce. Now granted, the people that voted in the AOL poll may not be the same people that vote for the show, but it does give you an idea. And let's face it folks, the ultimate finale of AI would be Ruben and Clay going head to head...two incredible singers with 2 different styles. And yes, I like Kimberly too...I think she will have no problem geting a record deal, as well. Just remember, at this point all the remaining contestants have a shot at stardom. However, I think Josh is way too country to win this contest and I truly hope he isnt being voted through simply because he is a Marine..that is truly unfair. This is a TALENT contest and people need to realize that already! Im not saying Josh has a bad voice because he doesnt..but he doesnt hold a candle to the others...even Trenyce was better then him Tuesday night. But going back to my first comment, I think there is a flaw in the voting system that needs to be fixed. And stop hating on Clay already...he has a beautiful voice and a personality to match...he has more class than most of the singers out there!
