I keep seeing it cheap online but I've never heard it. Anyone familiar enough w/ it to comment? Is the sound and songs similar to those on the Vanguard LP?
 
i have it its a great cd> It has the hits bounce back and WRong number. Its Freestyle.
 
I actually have the cassette. I bought it back in 1990 when I heard "Bounce Back" on Dance Party USA. I wouldn't say it is Freestyle, definitely dance/pop. I love the track "Kiss Me Quick".

Have no idea what happened to her though.
 
All of Alisha's stuff is great!!! But, I am a little prejudice!!! Wait till ya hear her new stuff!!

Alisha is still doing shows. I've seen her onstage not too long ago, and she is great.

Yup -- saw her for the first time 😱 earlier this year and had a GREAT time! 😀
 
I don't know anything about "Bounce Back".....I've heard a few later tracks but they were def. more poppy than anything....nothing like "Too Turned On", "Baby Talk", or "All Night Passion". I think I'll stick with those 3 tracks as my fave's from Alisha.

Can't forget "Wherever the Rhythm Take's Me" (1996).

My personal fave is NIGHTWALKIN', but I do love the BOUNCE BACK album. "Bounce Back" is such a great song!!

Another board said she has a show in NYC December 4 -- can anyone confirm this and/or a tentative onstage time?

(I don't remember the club name, and the board I saw it at is down so I can't look it up, sorry)

I posted there that I can't go, but if she goes on late enough... 😀

(working 8AM-4PM, need time to get ready, then a 6-hour drive -- earliest I could possibly get there would be between 11-11:30PM)
 
Cool. I am wondering if this is the Alisha I am thinking of. There is a song called, "Do You Dream About Me" on the soundtrack to the movie Manequin. It's hot. It goes... Do you dream about me, baby when the night comes. When you close your eyes... and so on. It's so freestyle. Awesome song. Can't find the soundtrack but I do own the movie which is cool

Yes it is the same Alisha who sings "All Night Passion" and "Bounce Back" and all the many hits we've come to know and LOVE!!!
Her song "Do You Dream About Me" is AWESOME, and it really should have been the theme song to the movie as they played the WHOLE song in it's ENTIRETY, and the lyrics/song title just seem to fit the theme of the movie better than "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now!" Just my opinion.
"Do You Dream About Me" is also on Alisha's 2nd album/cd called "Nightwalkin'" and you should be able to find it online. Amazing cd!!!
