I rescent rescued a puppy half pit bull and half dalmation. I saw her owner throw the litter away in the dumpster. The heartless bastard threw 8 puppies away cause he thought they were full blooded when he won the mother pit bull in a poker game. When he found out they were mixed he with dalmation he threw the puppies away. I saw him do this at the time i didnt know what he was doing but it looked kind of fishy. So, when he was done acting funny at the trash can something told me to go check it out. You never know it could of been a body or something. When i found the puppies in the trash. Only 2 were alive. I called the police and the human society. I should him where this devil lived. He was arrested. I barried the 6 puppies in the yard after the police took pictures. On of the two, died on it's way to the human society. The only surviver left was checked and monitered for 3 days and I winded adopting her. I burried her brother with the other puppies. Now, she lives with me. I just want some help from any other pit bull owners on how to care for her. I dont want her to be a mean dog. I want her to be a people person dog. If anyone can give me some advice I would appreciate it.

I have a Rottweiler and although they are not the same breed..they have a lot of similarities.

You would want to start with socialization...take the puppy out every day (even if you have to carry her until she gets her vaccines). Expose her to people and other dogs from now.....trust me this makes a world of a difference.

Show her who the boss is from NOW....don't allow her cuteness to control you!!!

Keep her appts. to the vet so that she may get all of the vaccines she needs, but the most important thing is SOCIALIZATION.

AWWWWWW ! That is so sweet of you. I love Pits and I love watching Animal Cops on Animal Planet . . they always arrested inhumane people !!
 
I am with Myriam my uncle deals in Pits and Rotties hell he has had every kind of dog but those are specialtys his dogs are raised to be fighting dogs and to breed them with other dogs of Pure bloodlines. The way to raise them specially females is as gentle as possible how ever way you treat her is how she will turn out. Pits have very strong charachters so you have to be firm with her and teach her from now who is the boss always show luv so that she always associates that with you and like Myriam said socialize with other dogs as well as people, Pits can also be very playful try not to play rough with her. Krystal, I plan to but I just think about stories I hear about pits and there frighten me. I dont want a dog like that. But she gets all the love in the world. Man, she has a dolly, a teddy bear and cloths too. She looks cute. LOL

Shoot, I wish I was a animal policeman because I would have roughted him up alittle by accident that is. lol But, what a prick who does these type of things to animals. People with no heart that is who. I hope when he goes to the pen or jail. That some inmate justice goes on. If you know what I mean.

Thanks for the advice but she's also half dalmations and they say there very playful. But she loves to play around. Girl, she loves people everywhere we go she jumps around and I taught her to shake. That makes everyone like her cause she's so small. :spin
