Hey peeps!
I just got back from my friends' Tina & Bill's wedding.
I have to give you some background on them, so you can understand how special/unique the wedding & reception was.
Tina's dad (a fireman) fought in WW2 as a member of the Navy. As a result, Tina loves the fire dept., the Navy, and historical facts about WW2.
There is a battleship called The Battleship N.J. that was housed out of Jersey, but there was a huge fund raising event to bring the ship back to N.J. (you may see cars with "battleship" plates on them, the funds went to this.) and Tina took part in all the fundraisers.
Tina met Bill in a chat on the net, and they got together to meet. It turns out that Bill's grandfather was on the commitee to get the battleship back to N.J. and Tina and Bill began to date. After some months, Bill proposed to Tina and they went to tour the battleship when it came back to Jersey and was housed in Camden.
Turns out, you can rent out the boat for private parties, and they reserved this past Saturday night for their wedding! LOL
They had a private caterer bring in some great food, there was an open bar, the deck of the ship had a dj set up, we had all the open space on the deck to use for dancing, and they had a Fireman's Chaplin come and perform a marriage ceremony under the cannons!!!!
The ship was ours from 7pm-Midnight, and we had a great view of the Philidelphia skyline!
Wow, I rambled on about this, but it was a great night!!!!
Congrats and God Bless Tina & Bill!!!!
