thank you for the link and all your responses regarding freestyle music. I will forward the messages to our program and music director. As an explination to your comments though. Before the cut in the Judy Torres show we were only playing freestyle from 6am to 6pm and for three hours during Judy's show, unless we needed to fill time in an hour in that case we played a freestyle song. We know there is a tremendous audience in New York and would never deny them, that is why we cut the last hour of Judy as well as Joe Causi's show, this is so we can rotate the same music you hear on Sunday nights throught the week on a regular basis, thus allowing us an extra two hours on Sunday night to play the current hits we would be replacing throught the week by playing the freestyle and classic disco. I hope this educates you and explains the reasoning behind the Movement of music, in no way shape or form are we cutting freestyle, we are just allocating it more evenly throught the week.

I think i can kinda understand VIC, i have notice more of a variety of freestyle being played. For instance, i heard SAFIRE's "don't break my heart 2002" was played yesterday during regular rotation and today i heard for myself SAFIRE's "let me be the one" played on regular rotation (about 2:30 in the afternoon, they even mention her birthday). You usually only hear "let me be the one" during the mix shows. I thought that was unusual. And i also heard " Mirage " by India on regular rotation today. Perhaps they are trying to spread the music.

PS IM NOT TRYING TO DEFEND KTU AND ANY WHICH WAY!

I was listening to KTU on my way home from work yesterday and I heard In and Out of Love by Sergio. That song was never played during regular rotation...just during Judys show. So yes, it is nice to hear those rare freestyle songs during the day but I just wish they could have done that without cutting the freestyle show down to 2 hrs. Mainly because I enjoy hearing new freestyle and Johnny Budz was the only one that played the new stuff.

I HEARD ABOUT THE FS SHOW CUT BACK ON ITS HOURS, BUT HEY IF YOU GUYS IN NYC ARE HEARING MORE FS THROUGHOUT THE DAY ON ITS REGULAR ROTATION, THEN THATS GOOD NEWS..
