A Mothers' Prayer

every night when i close my eyes' i say a little prayer'
now that your grown and gone from me
i cant' find the days' without you on my mind
you seem to stay and not go away
every night i pray to the lord to keep you safe
and keep you from all the bad that my come your way
i fall on my knees' every night praying' to the lord
to keep theam safe that they never have to make
the same mistakes' i had made
that they never have to follow but lead there own way
lord every night i will pray that my sons'
will find there own way to be what i want theam to be
a good man is what i want theam to be
every night i will pray
