Here's another reason why I stopped going to that teeny bopper, racist MTV board. I happened to bring up a subject about freestyle. I got lots of obnoxious statments like:" Freestyle is the 80's you loser", and Freestyle is only performed by those dinosaurs Judy Torres, and TKA". Well, I have a message to those haters, FREESTYLE LIVES!!!! Freestyle still sounds good. A track from 1985 can still rock the party today!!!! Freestyle, has lyrics that makes you feel good!!! As for who those haters call dinosaurs, I hear from everybody on the board that those same artist(In My opinion, LEGENDS!!!) drew a full house sunday night!! TKA, JUDY, Safire all have been making records for almost 20 years and are sounding better than ever. Face it, TKA's new album ROCKS!!!!!! To close out, Cynthia will probaly be still selling out shows in 20 more years when people be asking, Britney who!!!! The End!!!

Mike😀

not to take away from freestyle but most of us HAVE BEEN listening to the same songs from the 80's for a long time! not that they're not good, but its not like those peeps haven't got a point. what would help is if young freestyle artists like Lil' Suzy & Rockell bust out with some more hot stuff and get promoted well. it would also help if there were more artists. freestyle is a hot form of music and it can be accepted just as well as rap, pop, & r&b.

DONT GET IT TWISTED!!!! im not saying anything negative about freestyle, its one of my favorite types of music, but it does need a breath of fresh air!

That's a good point too. Same thing Freestyle is going through is the same thing that happened to Rock in the late 90's, many groups was putting out some bad records and Rock lost out to Pop and HipHop between 97-99. The new artist of freestyle will get the idea and put out some good stuff.

Which "new" artists are u thinking about Mike? I'd like to see some artists at the shows that are never mentioned like where's Willie Valentin does he perform? How about Ashley? There's a brand new artist Grey too? How about Nu Image, they have a new song ready to drop? Where are these artists?

We never get shows the size of Club Blis but I'd like to see some established acts perform along with some of the artists out there struggling to be heard. Club Blis is lining up another show for February...I'd like to know who the "new" artist are on that bill. I had no idea that Betty or Isabel was performing at that show. And no one even mentioned them. What's up with that. Are there any more new artists we can help get out there?

freestyle can never be played out a pop song u listin to it for at the max 2-3 weeks and u cant stand it any more but for me i cannot for the life of me stop listin to steive b or any of the great ones

In reagards to the MTV boards, lots of those people on there are probably in thier teens or very early twenties. Some of those people who listen to Britney or NSYNC will not really want to hear about any "old" music because MTV caters to whatever the trend is. If the trend leaned toward freestyle, then everyone would be listening to it on those boards. Since freestyle is considered old then the kids there won't be really interested in hearing about TKA or Judy Torres. I have to agree with Mark though, he does have a point. There aren't many new artists being played and if there is no radio airplay, people won't hear about some of the newer artists and they will continue to remain underground.

thats a good point as well. those same people on the mtv board probably have no idea as to what freestyle is. they are too young. it shows simply from the fact that they call it "80's music". freestyle is a whole genre. it just happened to gain mass appeal & dominate in the late 80's and early 90's. i hate it when people call it "80's music"!

another thing that doesnt help freestyle at all is all these no name artists with no name production on no name independent labels and websites who get attention! its too many rookies that get way too much attention. hip-hop, pop, r&b artists will never market the big dawgs with the rookies. the big artists do not want to carry them and who can blame them! freestyle is the only form of music that does this and to me it takes away from the artist with the history. u will never see Jay Z do a show with a bunch of amatuers off a street corner. at the same token u cant market a show featuring someone like Safire and then have three or four rookie acts with dumb names and no talent throwing out the same type of played out material! it will trivialize this type of music and bring it down once again!

NOT SAYING THAT NEW ARTISTS SHOULD NOT BE HEARD!!! it just shouldn't be as easy as it seems to be.

So What are u saying I have no Talent.........,

You know what..Those MTV guys can kiss my culo!..lol...Although they have a point, and also can speak there mind, they just dont understand..Only we Freestyle Lovers do!!! And who the hell called my TKA a dinosaur!?...😡

Better you than I..Cause that would not have been the only thing I would have cut down to size!..😱...hehehehehe
