what s jocelyn enriquez been up to? i havent heard anything about her since her one dance single in "98" called "when i get close to you". is she going to work on another album? i really loved her "97" self titled album. i know this has nothing to do with freestyle but she did do just one freestyle track back in the day.
 
just one freestyle track? where you been boy? more than half of her first album was freestyle (i've been thinking about you/only/make it last forever/i feel fo you/and a few others) and her second had a few also. i believe she is still workin on her new album - her latest single is from the 102 dalmations soundtrack (thunderpuss feat. jocelyn enriquez) called something like 'fabulous' or something like that. you can download it at her site http://www.jocelynenriquez.com it's kinda dorky - sounds a lot like a mixture of chic's "le freak" and the tamperer's "if you buy this record your life will be better" check it out🙂

When I get close to you came out in late 1999 early 2000. Not 98. But thats not important....Like chyqo said, she's had quite a bit of freestyle songs, and her last song (which didn't fair too well) was from the soundtrack of 101 dalmations.

From what i've been told through the rumor mill, she is very unhappy at Tommy Boy and is trying to get out of her contract with them. She wants to do more of what she wants to do. What that is, i do not know.
 
woops, i confused the years there didnt i? i was confusing the song with "get into the rhythm" which was a "98" release. freestyle? not hardly any in her "97" self titled album. there was just one in there. maybe she did alot back then. im just a big fan of hers from that one "97" album. wanna hear more of her. by the way, do you guys think she sounds a little like amber on that "when i get close to you" track?

a little bit of info on jocelyn

Jocelyn has bene working on her third album with Tommy Boy since 1998. The original A&R for Jocelyn was Joey Gardner, however he left Tommy Boy. Then her A&R was Eddie O. However, it seems her label's main focus is Amber, which is another problem since Amber is also a dance artist.

Her "Jocelyn" album contain serveral Freestyle/Crossover songs: "Do You Miss Me", "A Little Bit Of Ecstasy", "Can You Feel It", "Get Into The Rhythm", "If' I'm Falling In Love", and the remixes to "Do You Miss Me" & "A Little Bit Of Ecstasy."

Yes, it's been some talk about Jocelyn's situation with Tommy Boy. Who knows what's next for her? I already know she has enough songs to probably release and album already. A 12" promo has surfaced for DJs of the new song "So Fabulous, So Fierce".

BTW, on Napster you can find the long-lost SOUL SOLUTION REMIX to Jocelyn's "Even If", which was originally planned for single release as well a remix was also done by JJ Flores.

Jocelyn is Filipino, however Glenn Gutierrez is not Filipino, though he is mixed with Asian decent.
