FOR INSTANCE...I'VE COLLLECTED DISCO 12" FOR MANY YEARS...IN 1985 YOU COULD GET THESE VERY CHEAP...LET'S SAY $10,- FOR A RARE ONE...
NOW...THE 12" WILL COST $150,- OR MORE...
THE SAME WITH OLDSCHOOL RAP...1979-83
I REMEMBER IN 1986...IN NEW YORK THEY THROWED THESE 12" IN YOUR HEAD FOR $1,- !!! OR LESS...TODAY THE PRICES ARE MUCH HIGHER...😉
 
I think the most insane prices are mostly on the Internet. People think that they can give a insane price because it is very old and very rare.

Last time I went to NY City, I still found cheap prices for some very rare records.

So, the patience is definitely an asset and a virtue! 🙂

Sugi has a point. It's not only freestyle....prices on rare (and good) records are very high in the Disco, Rap, Electro and House world as well. Also, the internet has raised the prices in some ways because there is more "competition" on the net between buyers. It's not like 1 person walking inot a store wanting to buy a rare record. Someone announces they have a certain record over the net and there will be a handful of people who want it bad. Anyway, it goes back to the simple question: Who wants them bad and who doesn't? Again, it's not just freestyle that has these prices either.

ONE GUY HAS OFFERED ME $350,- FOR MY "SOUTH BRONX" 12"...AND BETWEEN
$250,- & $350,- FOR MY ULTRA 12 INCHES....
THAT'S INSANE...AND I DON'T WANNA SELL THEM...🙂
AND I CAN SEE THE SAME THING HAS HAPPENED WITH THESE FREESTYLE 12 INCHES...DAMN...!!!😉
