arpeggiators

a great tool or too quick and easy of a groove builder? I think Dance tracks are becoming as dependent on it as much as sampling is to hip hop. But where as sampling dosesnt curb creativity I believe the arpeggiator sound does and will hurt Dance eventually. What do you think?
