pro tools or cubase?

I was just wondering what to go with. DIGIDESIGN M-BOX AUDIO INTERFACE or CUBASE SYSTEM4 INTEGRATED SOFTWARE/HARDWARE SYSTEM

I just want to get stuff from my triton le to my computer and add vocals to the tracks I made.

I know Q-Base Is Hot!! Mark Santos , producer of Sarrani, Kenny Freestyle, Karell, and Michelle Diaz uses that soft ware. I also know Rappers Mac Dre and Reek Daddy Have it as well.

thanks for the input. I heard a lot about cubase and know lots of people use it but I have also heard pro tools is what people are starting to use now. I've also heard pro tools is easier to use. Well, if anyone has used pro tools here and can give me some feedback that would be much appreciated.

Oh yeah, is cakewalk sonar 3 producer any good for software as well?

Oh yeah, I heard of a new program called Garage Band from Glen Guterriz him self! He said this program is tight , cheap , and user freindly. But yeah Pro Tools is like the most well known and talked about program out here in the west coast. Looks like you have a tuff decision to make . Good Luck!!!

Yes; it is only for the mac and it's quite robust.

I've made many a track/remix on cubase it's a really good program especially with the abundance of virtual instruments (samplers, drum machines, synthesizers) and Virtual Effects (world class reverbs, compressors, vocoders etc...)
When in professional recording studios (unique, Sony etc....) it's always been pro mix 24 (pro tools professional grade 10000 dollars and up for minimal system) which has now changed to pro tools HD.
Pro Tools LE (limited edition which is free and packed with maudio products) is a great program. It's good for cutting up too (hardcore editing)
It's a matter of preference; but Protools LE wins this one simply because it's free and good enough for your average to pro quality songs.

sup megatron!
It's tough; I like both equally; and once you work with any audio/midi program they all become the same.
I'd use cubase or pro tools; they are both very user friendly. Logic on the mac; for some reason setting it up is a beehotch for me so I don't use it. Digital performer is similar to cubase and pro tools. I can't say one is easier than the other from the user perspective; they each have intuitive user interfaces and are user friendly (emagic is not user friendly from my own personal experience)
